After a sleep in and late breakfast, we packed up our belongings and checked out of the hotel by 11.30am. It is raining in Singapore today, so our initial plans to catch the train to Chinatown were changed to a visit to one of the local shopping malls, where we were able to spend some of our remaining Singapore dollars and also enjoy some lunch at one of the many food outlets - we were spoilt for choice!
We then found some market style stores a block further up and perused these before we were collected by our coach and guide from the hotel.
We are now at the airport awaiting departure for our final leg of our journey, on flight SQ 221. While we have thoroughly enjoyed our time with each other, we are greatly looking forward to being reunited with family in the early hours of the morning.
